Teaching Tools

Publishes research into language with relevance to real-world problems. The research covers topics over several different fields.

I like this site because you can search by relevance and date. It also supports open access research, meaning you can download articles onto PDF or read it straight from the site.

Below are three of my favorite go-to resource sites. These are my favorite because they provide in-depth knowledge, are open sourced, or have provided helpful tools in continuing development as a teacher.

International Association of professionals advancing the quality of English language teaching through professional development, research standards, and advocacy

I like this site because it covers a historical look at the organization, and their advocacy work is both impressive at how in-depth it is, and relevant to the current political atmosphere in the United States.

Provides resources for three main teaching levels: kids, teens, and adults. It also has several options for continuing teacher development. Resources ranging from access to publications, joining different networks, and online conferences are all collated here.

This site has been of the most help to me, from listing various activities (you can find three of my favorites here) to providing teachers with the proper tools who are in low-income classrooms. Teaching English provides a lot of hands-on resources that are applicable for a wide range of classrooms.
